Kate Watson-Wallace, Choreographer and Director

Kate has worked with a variety of artists inside the art and music worlds as a movement director, choreographer and director for live shows, music videos, and video installations. This work ranges from complex choreography for dancers, to simple blocking and movement direction for non-dancers, to translating larger concepts that artists have into embodied form.

Credits include choreography for Grammy-winning artist St. Vincent on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, movement direction for Alex Da Corte’s video work “Rubber Pencil Devil,” at the Venice Biennale and Carnegie International, and choreography for commercials/live events for a variety of brands including Redbull, Vitamin Water and W Hotel.

Music video/Live show credits include: St. Vincent, Elvis Costello, Animal Collective, Black Dice, Panda Bear, Manman, Xenia Rubinos, Cassy, D’Leau, and Lisel.

Movement Direction/choreography credits include the Alex Da Corte’s reimagination of Allan Kaprow’s Chicken performance, re-created in collaboration with Da corte 50 years after the original performance in the same site.
